Privacy Policy

Effective date:

Recalline does not collect your personal data, does not track you, and has no server of its own. Everything the game remembers is stored on your device.

What Recalline does not do

What is stored, and where

Your game progress and preferences are written to your device’s local app storage and stay there. Specifically:

None of this is transmitted anywhere. There is no cloud save, no backup service of ours and no synchronisation between devices.

Focus timing and the device clock

Focus regenerates over real time. To measure that honestly the app reads the system’s monotonic clock (mach_continuous_time), which keeps counting while the device is asleep and cannot be moved by changing the date in Settings.

This is declared in the app’s privacy manifest under Apple’s approved reason 35F9.1. The value is used only to work out how much time has passed since your last Focus, and it never leaves your device.

Playing offline

All gameplay works with no network connection. The app makes no network request of its own during play.

Opening this privacy policy or the support page from inside the app is the exception: those are web pages, so your device fetches them over the internet using its browser.

Links opened outside the game

When you tap Privacy or Support in Settings, the page opens in Apple’s in-app browser (Safari View Controller) or in your default browser. Once that happens the page is handled by Apple’s software and by the site’s host, under their own terms — not by Recalline.

We add no tracking parameters to those links and do not record that you followed one.

This website

This site has no analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising and no third-party embeds. It sets no cookie of any kind.

It is a static site hosted by Vercel. Like every web server, the host processes the technical information needed to deliver a page — your IP address, the page requested, and your browser’s user-agent string — and may keep short-lived operational logs. That processing is Vercel’s, under Vercel’s privacy policy; we do not add to it, and we receive no visitor reports from it.

Apple

Downloading and updating Recalline happens through the App Store. Apple processes that, and any diagnostics or crash reports you have chosen to share with developers at the operating-system level, under Apple’s own privacy policy. The developer receives only what Apple chooses to show — aggregate figures with no identifying information attached.

Children

Recalline is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Deleting your data

Settings → Reset Progress erases your scores and progression from the device immediately.

Deleting the app removes its local storage, which normally removes your game progress with it. Because iOS controls this, we cannot promise it in every case — for example if you restore the device from a backup made while the app was installed.

There is nothing for us to delete on your behalf, because we hold nothing.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Since the app has no way to reach us and we have no way to reach you, this page is the only notice.
